The location is great, and everyone was super friendly—Yvonne and Shumi were absolute stars! They told me it was all‑inclusive, but that only covered food; drinks weren’t included, not even tea or water with meals, so extra charges popped up.

“Affordable accommodation with activities for both kids and adults at the Lesotho border gate”

The place is spotless, even cleaner than a typical farm, with minimal dirt to keep that rustic vibe. Inside, there are activities for kids and adults alike, and the restaurant offers competitive prices. We went horse riding, which was enjoyable and affordable, and the instructors were well‑trained and knowledgeable. The property sits just a 5‑minute walk from the Caledon border gate, or a one‑minute drive.

“The best well-coordinated South African hospitality I have experienced”

This was an amazing 4 day family stay for our 3 generation family. The staff “het ouma op die hande gedra”. The children made friends and played into the night with the children of other guests. The breakfast and dinner was exceptional for a Holiday Farm. Rooms were cleaned daily. Underfloor heating in winter was wonderful to have. This place will bend over backwards for you. I can’t comment on lunch because this area in the Oos Vrystaat and Northern Lesotho is arguably the most jam packed tourist location in Southern Africa, so I was never here for Lunch but always came back to perfect hospitality in the evening. The area is full of Passes, 4x4 & Motor Bike Roads, AfriSki, Dinosaur Centre at Golden Gate, Clarence Shops and Restaurants, AfriSki, Ficksburg, Africa’s most impressive mountains, Rock Paintings, The history of Important Boer and Basotho Leaders and Legends
