“We will not be forgetiing our first ever kaiseki course and our first ever stay at a ryokan.”
We dined on the seafood kaiseki set and the beef kaiseki set, and the presentation and quality blew us away; breakfast was the same. The staff delivered flawless service throughout, the rooms were spacious and clean, and we enjoyed the private baths. Kakuraisen has set a very high bar.
“人気な旅館であることがわかります”
The staff’s service feels unforced, easy to listen to and talk to, giving a home‑like vibe. The nighttime exterior lighting is gorgeous, and we all thought it would be even more beautiful if we visited during cherry‑blossom season. Most importantly, the food is tasty. After shabu‑shabu, guests can choose to eat rice or congee—this freedom is appreciated; we chose rice so nothing was wasted. I was surprised by the breakfast’s abundance. The hot spring water feels slick on the skin, and the next day my skin and hair felt different after applying makeup base. The futon is light yet warm, making for a pleasant sleep. Being able to pick a yukata was a nice touch. The room was clean and really good.
“Good Good”
Good food. Nice people. No negatives.
“Relaxing stay at Kakureisen”
We relaxed at Kakureisen; the staff were genuinely friendly, the room view was gorgeous, and the food was delicious. On our last day we left early and they made a bento box for us! :) Nothing else comes to mind.
