“Such a great location, spacious, comfortable accommodations with AC in bedrooms, lovely balcony!”

The food was amazing—fresh, homemade, with great baked goods, fish, and Baron’s hot sauce that we even brought home, plus fresh fruit. The English muffins were the best I’ve ever had, even though I don’t eat them in the States. Room service was excellent when I was too ill to go out for dinner one night. A huge thank you to Kiera at the front desk for getting us breakfast super early—6:30 am—when we planned to hike Gros Piton. She was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Sugar Beach is a 7‑minute drive. We’d appreciate more detailed feedback on the hiking trails. Our water stopped working in the middle of the night, which was odd; we called and it was fixed, but we didn’t know why.

The rooms and cabins feel very secluded and private, beautifully furnished, surrounded by plants and wildlife. The restaurant is great, breakfast lovely, and the food is far better and more local than any other hotel or resort we ate at. The pool area is delightful, well laid out for privacy so different groups can have their own spaces—ideal for a pool party! The location is perfect for nearby forest and volcano activities and for reaching Soufrière and nearby beaches. I’d definitely recommend hiring a car for more freedom; the area looks close on a map but is hilly and hot, so walking takes much longer than expected. It’s not really a resort; the clientele weren’t “resort types,” which is a big plus in our book. It’s eco‑luxury—luxurious enough while staying in the rainforest and minimizing environmental impact. I’d advise bringing your own mosquito net in the right size for the bed (we were a bit squeezed in under ours). The nets on the four‑poster look pretty and romantic but don’t fully close, so they don’t keep mosquitoes out. Also, not a negative but useful to know: the frogs are loud at night and don’t stop until sunrise, so we were glad to have earplugs (we’ve slept in other jungles before but never experienced a wildlife chorus quite like this one!).

“A unique setting with authentic historical cottages set in the rainforest.”

The rainforest location is magical but quite remote. The historic cottages offer simple, spacious, and clean accommodation with outdoor showers. Staff are friendly and helpful. Meals are adequate but not fancy. Two swimming pools are very pleasant. There are interesting paths and trails through the beautiful rainforest. The old cottages and bungalows in the humid rainforest need more maintenance than shown, and the furniture lacked the character and charm of the buildings.

The facilities are lovely—beautiful pools and grounds, and the walking trail to view the Pitons is a great bonus. Breakfast combines international and local options with great variety each morning. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again!

“Facilities could do with a redo! especially the bathrooms!”

The place sits in a gorgeous forest setting. The dining room staff were very helpful and friendly, and breakfast was good and filling. Dinner had a limited menu, but the risotto was delicious, and the Indian night meal was tasty too. The only downside was that you need a car or taxi to get anywhere; taxis were expensive. Staff didn’t give enough information when we asked questions, seemed either unaware of facilities and excursions or unwilling to offer the best deals. I was lucky to find Wow tour company who helped us the most. I read in your questionnaire that the closest beach is Malgretoute, but we never even knew about it while we were there.
