Trailside Inn

“It served the purpose because Alturas doesn’t have much to choose from.”

Trailside in is an older hotel and no upgrades have been made; it feels overpriced.

“Perfect for what we needed”

I could tell it was an older hotel, but the cleanliness left something to be desired.

The room was comfortable, though a new shower wand would be nice.

“Ok”

The staff were friendly, yet the room had a badly stained upholstered chair and dirty floor corners.

“A pleasant experience during an otherwise unpleasant couple of days.”

The desk staff were great; we arrived three hours before normal check‑in, asked to store luggage and enter early, and they obliged, letting us reach our room after only 30 minutes. The room itself was clean and adequate. Breakfast, however, was disappointing—little variety, not very tasty, though the coffee was good.
