Staying at Barefoot was absolutely amazing. I was the first guest back this season, and even though my trip started slow and rainy, I immediately felt part of something bigger. The space was cozy, the people warm and courteous—offering recommendations for the best local food spots and sunset walks with the cutest dogs (I miss you hero and booboo)—and I truly felt at home. The lush greenery made for peaceful mornings, and the property was the perfect distance for walking and exploring while still having space and quiet from the hustle and bustle that picked up as the rains eased. I ended up staying much longer than planned because I was so relaxed and saw no reason to go elsewhere. The care and intention in this space are palpable, and I’m already planning my next trip back. Thank you for making Varkala feel like home!
