I’ve stayed here about three or four times, and the first visits were fantastic, but the dog from the house next door kept barking from 10 pm until about 1 am.

The location by the river was lovely, the nearby walks were great, and there was a good pub in the area.

The place had a beautiful setting, the room was clean and comfortable, and the value for money was great; it looked a bit unusual when you arrived, but we slept well that night.

“Gone down hill fast”

The location was good and the cleaning lady was nice, but the staff lied; the owner seemed more interested in their night out than fixing the mistake they’d made. I was messaged the night before saying I’d been there before and didn’t know the arrival time, and the reply gave me a room number for self‑check‑in, yet there was no key available after the check‑in time. I caught the owner and was told someone had already checked into my room, that my name had been mentioned to guests, and that a cleaner would set up another room for me. The owner called the cleaner and begged her to come, but she said she hadn’t been notified. I ended up waiting over an hour to get into my room. The cleaner finally sorted out the room that had apparently been given to someone else who hadn’t left. I’ve stayed here four times; the first two were great and I left amazing reviews. The last time I had a shower that didn’t drain correctly, so I didn’t leave a review then, hoping for a better experience. This time left a sour taste in my mouth and I won’t return.
