Hotel Cigno Reale

The hotel sits a little off the highway but is easy to reach; it’s a bit dated, yet the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The on‑site restaurant is really good and still affordable, and the breakfast buffet is extremely generous for Italian standards.

Il titolare è onesto. Considerando eccessivo il costo della camera che avevo prenotato mi ha compreso la cena nella cifra pagata per una notte. I letti sono molto comodi e rigidi quanto basta per la mia schiena. La struttura è vecchia e mal manutenuta. L'arredamento delle camere è costituito da mobili di recupero che risulta evidente essendo di stili diversi. Il mio box doccia con getti d'acqua per l'idromassaggio avrà avuto almeno 10 anni. L'aria condizionata non funziona benissimo

“Furchtbar. Ich weis nicht wie man sowas anbieten kann.”

It was somewhat clean, but our stay was sadly disappointing. The whole hotel looked like a construction site, with damaged or unfinished areas everywhere, making it hard to feel comfortable. Breakfast was extremely sparse—no fresh fruit or bread, and the yogurt was already liquid because it was too warm. Dirty dishes from the previous night were still on the tables. The room door couldn’t lock, which is a major issue. The elevator worked but had no lights, giving a poor impression. The air‑conditioning was basically just a vent that blew a little cool air; despite being on, the room stayed too hot all night, so we barely slept. On the departure day we had to eat early because the front desk staff had a doctor’s appointment, and after that we were basically left alone in the hotel. Overall, the experience didn’t meet our expectations, and due to the many shortcomings we cannot recommend this place.
