Spa Hotel Kleptuza

The staff were quite responsive and friendly, trying to keep guests satisfied, yet the spa hygiene was very disappointing, the overall hotel seemed old and under‑maintained for its price, most pool umbrellas were broken or worn, and there were no pillow contacts so I had to ask for an extension.

The place sits very close to Lake Kliptuza in a quiet spot; the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, the breakfast is rich and tasty, and although the spa area isn’t huge, anyone who enjoys that kind of relaxation will be pleased.

We booked from 05.09 to 07.09 and were first put into a room that had no air‑conditioning even though it was listed as having one; the TV remote didn’t work, the bathroom drain was clogged and we couldn’t unclog it, but the front desk guy was courteous and promptly gave us a better room where everything was excellent. The bar by the outdoor pool was great and the staff woman there was professional, answering our questions about nearby sights and restaurants in a friendly way. When we arrived we decided to have lunch at the hotel restaurant, chose a table, and a middle‑aged server handed us the lunch and drinks menus; after selecting our orders we waited about 15 minutes for drinks, everything seemed forgotten and delayed. Next to us sat a family with a small baby who spilled their juice and the father cleaned it up himself while the server just watched indifferently. The breakfast wasn’t among the best, with a dirty plate placed among the clean ones. In the evening, before we left, we ate again there and the same server, apparently tired and distracted, seemed to forget things.

The décor is decent, breakfast is good, and the spa centre is fine, but on Sundays the parking gets cramped and some cars can’t find a spot, making the spa insufficient for all hotel guests.
