The room was lovely, clean, and set in a beautiful setting—very quiet. The natural hot spring was wonderful after the hike, making it an ideal base if you’re planning the Mount Batur trek. The staff were very nice, and the banana pancakes were delicious. There were a lot of flies, but that’s common in the area, so after one day it was still worth traveling on.

It’s not really a pool, more like a hot tub, but it offers a stunning view of the lake. It’s perfectly positioned for a jeep safari to Mount Batur, which starts at 4 am, and the hostel even booked that for us. Almost all night you can hear jeeps heading toward the volcano. There are an incredible number of flies attracted by the manure they use for their onions, making the place feel dirty. We wanted to have breakfast at 6 am right after sunrise, but had to wait until 7 am, which was a bit annoying since staff were already around.

The welcome was very friendly, and the rooms were really good. Special shout‑out for the hot spring pool—it’s amazing. The Mount Batur climb was organized by the hotel and ran smoothly with a great guide. The overall vibe of the hotel is very relaxing and pleasant. Thanks for the stay. The flies, which are everywhere in the city, aren’t the hotel’s fault.
