The place is quiet and the room was comfortable but basic; we barely saw the staff, and we felt like the only guests, which was a bit off-putting. The room temperature couldn’t be adjusted and the shower was open and transparent, so steam filled the whole space. The room sat above the dining area, so in the morning you could hear all the first‑floor activity.

A lovely little B&B. The room’s private porch overlooked a gorgeous garden where we spotted a hummingbird and a coati roaming. José was an incredibly helpful host. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil retreat in Monteverde. The location is a bit off‑town, so if you don’t have a car, the walk back at night can feel a little dark.

The cabin was a real gem – easy to get to, plenty of parking, and the laundry made keeping clothes spotless a breeze. What really stood out was the host's friendliness; they texted us to confirm breakfast times and even sent a forgotten slipper to San José by mail. No complaints at all – would come back a thousand times.
