The spot was spot on, but the room lacked a clock and a TV guide, and none of the usual channels like CBS, NBC, or ABC were on the TV.

The place was great, just a 16‑minute drive from Louder Than Life in Louisville, and we could check in after midnight without any hassle. It was odd that there was no trash can in the room, the shower was a bit finicky, but the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for a one‑night stay.

The first night, two gentlemen at check‑in were very friendly, but the rest of the stay was marred by a woman at the desk who seemed annoyed when we spoke to her. We had a “do not disturb” sign on the door (which we had to find ourselves), yet housekeeping ignored it and came in anyway; I had to hand‑write a new sign, which surprisingly worked. When we returned to request fresh towels and washcloths, the desk lady tried to justify that we couldn’t get them because the sign was on the door and housekeeping “wasn’t invited.” We didn’t want to accept her rude attitude, so we got clean towels and washcloths, though she gave us eye rolls and a nasty look. The doors didn’t close or lock properly, so we had to improvise. Water pressure fluctuated, sometimes dropping to a trickle during showers. The king bed felt like a concrete bench, and cigar, cigarette, and marijuana smoke seeped through the non‑locking doors at times. The pool was closed and never fixed.

The staff were friendly and the place was clean, but the beds were a bit rough on the back, which only some people might notice.
