“Ok for a night”

Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The marble flooring in the communal area made all sounds echo into the bedroom, so it was quite noisy. There isn’t much around the hotel, as it’s on the outskirts of Cuzco.

“A good budget hotel nice and clean”

It was cheap. Unfortunately, our experience with Velvet Residence Cusco Hotel was disappointing, especially after the stay. We accidentally left our AirPods in the room when we checked out. We called the hotel that same day to report the missing AirPods. They said they hadn’t been found. The AirPods are linked to my Apple account and I can track them through Find My. They keep showing a location after we left the hotel, and I can see they’re still being used. That’s extremely concerning. We reached out again, expecting them to take the situation seriously and investigate. The reply was simply that the AirPods were not found. While we understand that items can be accidentally left behind, when a device can still be tracked and is clearly in use after a guest reports it missing, the hotel should make every reasonable effort to investigate. This incident has seriously shaken our trust in the hotel, and we would advise guests to be especially careful with their personal belongings.

“Good value for money but noisy”

It was clean, the rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Eggs were made to order at breakfast. The hallways were open and echoing, so it was quite noisy. Also there weren’t enough towels in the room—just one bath towel.
