“Good value for what you pay lots of character”
The hotel matched what I needed and paid for. It had a lot of character, even though the building was dilapidated and literally falling apart in some spots. The staff were friendly but not overly helpful. Overall I was happy with my choice. The beds were uncomfortable, so if you have back problems this might not be the best place.
“Historisches Hotel mit viel Charme, gerne wieder.”
A small, charming hotel on the second floor of a historic building. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Our room request was honored, and a shower defect was fixed immediately. The hotel normally only offers a sweet breakfast, but at our request we received an extended continental spread with cheese and cold cuts. We would choose this place again for a future stay in Naples. On the downside, the room with the lovely historic ceiling was on the side street, where traffic has increased significantly compared to our previous visits, though the hotel can’t control that; the courtyard‑side rooms are much quieter.
The location is wonderful in a very chaotic and messy Naples. Nothing else to note.
“A good base to explore Naples and beyond, full of old-world atmosphere but you have to be fit!”
The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the air conditioning was essential. The shower worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful. It sits in a very atmospheric courtyard, close to the Museo Metro station (Linea 1). A couple of small groceries nearby stay open late. The hotel is very quiet and has a lovely garden. A family restaurant nearby (Taverna Luciana) is nice. The hotel is on the second floor, and the high ceilings made it a big effort to reach the room with a heavy bag. Breakfast was okay but could have been more varied, and the pillows were very lumpy.
“We loved the Stanze del Vicere, felt like locals. Near to the Archeological Museum, the Catacombs, and Capodimonte. Mus”
The vibe was authentically Neapolitan, the staff were great, and our room was clean and quiet, with an elegant common area and breakfast room. The only drawback was that the breakfast could have had a bit more protein—some cheese, maybe an egg.
