“Good value for money and close to main town centre.”
The breakfast was great, the bed and pillow were very comfortable, and the room and bathroom were cute and clean. Unfortunately there’s no parking, but otherwise it’s a great spot and good value for money.
Top Lage in einer ruhigen Gasse mitten in der Altstadt von Québec, sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und sauber
“Schandalig”
The location is fine, but this isn’t a B&B; it’s an owner renting out a few rooms. An hour before our arrival we were told the owner was ill and no breakfast would be served. As compensation we were offered 20 CAD (or 12 €) per night per room, which is 6 €/person—roughly the price of a coffee in Quebec. Shame. And reading previous reviews shows this isn’t the first time. The rooms need a thorough renovation. The outside windows can’t be locked because the lock is missing. The bathroom with toilet is so small that only one person can fit at a time. The shower is 50 cm by 50 cm—an average man barely fits. For the three nights I paid 1900 CAD (≈1200 €) for two rooms. The Wi‑Fi is a disaster. It’s disgraceful that this is being rented out.
“Rustic, quaint old building. Very basic but close to everything.”
The location is good and the proprietor is friendly, and breakfast is decent. The entrance and stairs are narrow, and paid parking is far away.
“A nice central location with great breakfasts from which to easily explore Old Quebec.”
The property was very centrally located in Old Quebec, in a charming old building, and it was a short walk to all the sites. The suite was compact, but the bed was comfortable and having two armchairs and a coffee table added a lot to the comfort. It was nicely appointed. Breakfasts were very good and the person handling them was pleasant and accommodating. The bathroom was small and humid, so the towels didn’t dry well; they need replacing because over time they’ve taken on a sour smell when wet. It would have been nice to have Greek yogurt as a breakfast option.
