“just what we needed as a family.”

The location was very nice, and the house had everything needed for a pleasant weekend. It was very clean and all items were high quality, with no corners cut. We didn’t know that the last 10 km are on dirt roads; some work is needed to make the roads more drivable. Scraping and rolling every 4 months would make a huge difference.

“It was relaxing but kids were bored and needed to do alot of travel.”

The views were lovely. Although the location is beautiful, it is very remote and the roads are difficult to travel even with an SUV. A minimum of 40 min is required to reach any civilization. There are no convenient stores nearby and no onsite options for basics, so we had to travel a lot to fully experience the area. Also horse riding was no longer an option, so there wasn’t much to do at the accommodation.

“We enjoyed our stay the staff was friendly and I would go again.”

The view of the lake and the friendly staff were great, but the electric blanket in the double‑bedroom didn’t work.

“It was our 3rd visit to star dam and we’ll definitely be back for our 4th visit.”

Everything was loved, except the disappointment that the boat motor was broken and no motor was available.
