The accommodation was good and the communication with the owner lady was excellent, but the pool advertised online was unavailable, which chilled us a bit.

Everything was great – the location, room and kitchen amenities, a clean and cozy room, and the October décor was beautifully set.

“Hier kommen wir nie wieder her!”

The pension’s location is great – very close to the German border, about a 15‑minute drive to Seiffen, and it has a kitchen with all necessary cooking utensils and dishes/knives. It seems fine for summer, but the worst part was the cold. All heaters were off and even when we asked they didn’t turn them up. At night our rooms stayed at no more than 14 °C, so we had to try to sleep in our winter jackets. We asked for a solution and only received a single heater, which was insufficient for our two rooms. The bathrooms were pig‑cold, with no hot water. When we asked, the operator mocked us; then he simply let all taps and showers run for 10 minutes, after which the water warmed up, but there was no prior hint that this was the method. The operator speaks no German and only broken English, making communication hard. Internet reception in the house is very poor, so translation services are unusable. The whole house smells very unpleasant. The supposed sauna/wellness area was basically inaccessible, and the fridge didn’t cool.

The surroundings were beautiful, except for the sawmill operating nearby the accommodation.
