The host greeted us personally and we ended up having some pretty interesting chats. The room was fine for a one‑night stay, so overall a decent place to crash.

The hotel sits in a quiet spot right between Bern and Fribourg, which made getting to either city a breeze. Unfortunately the bedroom and bathroom were chilly, and the staff wouldn’t turn the heating up any higher. Breakfast was a let‑down too – just a bag of sliced bread, no toast, and the coffee came with a jug of cold milk that they refused to heat.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the welcome was far from welcoming. We arrived 40 minutes early from a long trip and were left waiting at the gate until the exact check‑in time, with staff acting unfriendly. On top of that, the breakfast felt overpriced for what was offered.

The bathroom was spacious and the owner was pleasant, which was a plus. However, breakfast only started after 8 am and the beds creaked loudly, making sleep a bit uncomfortable.
