Els llits extragrans amb llençols suaus d’hotel de 5 estrelles, el seu entorn, els espais comuns, tant internals com externs, on desconectar i gaudir de la natura. El menjar que et preparen si vols fer un àpat i la pizza del forn de pedra. L’atenció i l’amabilitat de les persones que et fan sentir ates i cuidat en tot moment. Es troba una muca allunyat de les poblacions més properes tot i que hi ha mitjans per a desplaçar-te amb facilitat tant públics com privats.

The green surroundings and the kindness of the staff. Some rooms have to be renovated, especially for what concerns the bathroom

The food is incredible. The garden allows you to chill and check the stars (if the weather permits). Rooms are very recent. It is a bit far from the city center (not walking distance), so if you plan on going in and out this is not your place. But for us it was perfect.

“Peaceful stay near Ollantaytambo”

The location and grounds of this hotel were really nice. Close to Ollantaytambo (although a bit far to walk for our group) but still easy to get to with a collectivo and maybe slightly harder with a taxi if you don't plan ahead (could be a long wait time until a taxi shows up). The staff were super friendly and helpful, organizing a van to pick us up from the airport and adjusting plans when some of our flights were delayed. Also, the dinners were excellent and cozy! Delicious food and drinks. The showers didn't work very well. Hot water was only available for a minute or two, then became cold. If you turned the water off, waited a bit, then turned it on again, the hot water would return, temporarily. Also, the wifi was slow and would disconnect every few minutes. Fine if you just need to look something up quickly, but frustrating if you're relying on it to do anything extensive. Although also understandable that it's not easy to have a reliable internet connection deep in a valley and far away from major cities

Casa de la Chola turned out to be a real hidden gem for anyone after some peace; although it sits a little off the beaten path, getting there is surprisingly simple – you just hop on a colectivo for 2‑5 Soles from the road to Ollantaytambo, or you can ask the property to arrange a taxi (Uber barely works around here). Our tiny cottage felt incredibly cozy, lovingly furnished, and the whole grounds were tidy and tranquil. The resident cats and dog added a personal touch, especially the dog who loved to play and got quite clingy. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding, far better than many hotel offerings, and the stone‑oven pizza was truly exceptional, even outshining some city‑center Italian places. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and answered every question we had. If you’re heading to Machu Picchu, we’d suggest adding an extra night here to soak up the calm and unique vibe – just 15 minutes from Ollantaytambo you’ll find a beautiful, relaxed spot with great food and plenty of charm. Highly recommended!
