The hotel is situated right in the middle of a nature reserve and very quiet. Eventually, we got a cozy front‑facing room, and the on‑site restaurant was good. Initially, we had a back‑facing room with noise from the exhaust, but we were lucky to get a different room.

The location near Monte Amiata is charming. The only downside is that the restaurant closes at 20:45.

The staff were extremely friendly, the hotel felt welcoming, and the restaurant was perfect.

They assigned me a “dependance” less than a hundred metres from the hotel, though it wasn’t mentioned during booking. It was a pleasant surprise because: a) I had plenty of open space for my motorcycle; b) I enjoyed great quiet, only occasionally interrupted by Neapolitan workers in the adjacent room, who fortunately went to bed early; c) I could enjoy a refreshing view, as two windows faced the back forest. The cleaning was noteworthy and the beds were comfortable. The shower drain was clogged, creating a “puddle” effect; the large distance to the mirror made shaving difficult—suggest installing a small wall mirror; and there was no extra blanket. There is a direct phone line to reception, but I chose to fold the lightweight synthetic duvet in half and use the single duvet from the second bed instead. The environment is quite Spartan, but I don’t see that as a negative given the positives mentioned.

I keep coming back every year and I strongly recommend it if you want to unwind and enjoy some peace.
