We had two extraordinary days at this place. Antonio was very communicative, giving us valuable tips, such as where the best beach is. The villa, built and furnished by his father, an antique dealer, radiates atmosphere. In the ancient library and the salon with wine and music we felt completely at ease. Breakfast isn’t offered, but the fully equipped kitchen lets you cook for yourself. The coffee machine is free and available 24 hours a day. From the garden you can see the Messina street and enjoy a fantastic view over to Calabria. Overall, it was the best accommodation on our Southern Italy tour.

The splendour of a villa with refined attention to detail available to the visitor made us feel as if we were in a museum while still enjoying the facilities. The kitchen was well supplied, and the unforgettable panorama offered a stunning view of the Strait of Messina.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room and bathroom were very large, but the room lacks at least one mini fridge and the bathroom is missing a shower head.
