The room and bathroom were spotless and offered decent comfort, and free parking in front of the hotel was a big plus. The hotel’s transport links to Edinburgh by bus or train are solid. On the downside, there was never anyone at the front desk, so it took a while to reach someone each time. The walls seemed thin, letting you hear the next room clearly. Breakfast quality was disappointing for a hotel of this size, with a long wait for cooked options and small portions. The overall cost felt high for the level of service.

The staff were incredibly friendly and breakfast was excellent, with a great atmosphere. Just avoid room nine because it’s right next to the stairwell and the constant banging is annoying.

The property was clean and the staff were very approachable. Breakfast was good as well. I’m looking forward to returning soon.

The accommodation was comfortable and the staff were very friendly, plus there’s a great pub right next to the hotel run by the same people.
