“Exceeded expectations”

Exceptional stay with a phenomenal host. It is rare to meet such a kind, caring and eclectic person. We truly enjoyed our stay with Joaquin; he has created an oasis of relaxation. This trip will remain a highlight for us. We hope to return and recommend him highly! Great recommendations from places to visit to food to try. Nothing to dislike.

“Renting a room with bath in an interesting person’s beautifully landscaped home. An instagrammer’s dream”

Joaquín, the host, really knows his stuff and has turned the place into a landscaped oasis that’s a pleasure to chat about. The hilltop spot isn’t far from the El Yunque entrance, but it’s a bit inconvenient because you’ll need to bring your own food and drinks; even though Canóvanas is nearby, it’s not the kind of place you want to hop in and out of at night. The grounds are stunning, yet the rooms feel more like dorms with only a decent private bath.

“Amazing escape from the urban life!”

The grounds are well kept and the gardens are lush everywhere, which is fantastic, and the peace of the setting and the natural surroundings are unmatched. The only downside is that there’s no complimentary bottle of water, nor is one sold.
