“The place to stay in Akhaltsikhe and Maxo is the man.”

The hotel is lovely, but Maxo the proprietor is an absolute gem; he kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the bus station, and we had great conversation with him about this beautiful country and its hospitable people. If you come to Alhalsikhe (and you should), this is the place to stay. Breakfast was tasty with a nice variety, and the ladies were very, very nice to us. The hotel is a 15‑minute walk to the bus station and plenty of restaurants within a 5‑ to 10‑minute walk (Darani restaurant is a great spot). Nothing else.

For us, this is the best hotel in Georgia, with wonderful hospitality that shared recommendations and cared in a non‑intrusive way, high‑quality service. Very clean, varied breakfast.

The place was very friendly with a gorgeous terrace. Lunch was excellent. The welcome was outstanding. The lunch staff were very kind and smiling. Conversations with the owner and his incredible help for our visits and departure. We were all a bit sad to leave this wonderful spot. Our stay was too short.
