The food was good. It was very helpful that parking could be used from check‑out until 12 pm. The windows look out onto the street and cannot be opened.

The hotel is close to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, has a calm atmosphere, and the staff were courteous and helpful; the large public bath was also a highlight. No particular negatives to mention.

The room‑service meals were hassle‑free, and the parking hours were long enough to make sightseeing convenient.

I appreciated that neither the night‑time snack nor the breakfast was served as a buffet. I didn’t notice any other issues, although there was a power outage—perhaps caused by nearby thunder during the rain—but it didn’t affect my stay.

The hotel felt very traditional, offering customs and traditions to explore and participate in, and the location was good. The traditional meals served in the rooms were too focused on a younger clientele without back or leg problems, because the meals are mandatory sitting on the floor or a low table; it’s a pity that low chairs aren’t available for those who request them.
