The place sits in a stunning spot that the pictures barely capture, especially during monsoon. The old‑style red brick fort building gives spacious rooms and a big balcony overlooking Panshet lake, hills, and forest—ideal for unwinding in nature. The staff were very welcoming, ready to help with anything, and room service ran around the clock, delivering fresh meals quickly. From the balcony I saw a bright red/orange bird, butterflies, an eagle, and distant waterfalls—something I’d never seen before, and I wish I’d had binoculars. It’s a dream for nature lovers and I’d recommend it for a peaceful lake view any time, especially in the monsoons. The only hiccup was that a few menu items were missing, but that didn’t affect our food delivery, which was all great and tasty.
