It was quiet and peaceful, overlooking the golf course with a large terrace, and the Romance Package was lovely with ribboned candles, champagne, snacks, sweets, and petals on the bed; nothing was bad.

Do ambiente. Já é costume alojar- me neste hotel. Do barulho super incomodativo de uma conduta de ar condicionado que passa dentro do roupeiro do quarto que não deixa ninguém descansar. Receção tentou resolver o assunto por volta da meia noite e meia depois de alertados para o facto, mas às 8h00 da manhã já estava de novo a funcionar. Para isto tinha ficado em casa. Descansava mais e era de borla. Falta de bom senso na hora de saída. Receção sabia o que se passou e disse que para a próxima seria melhor. Esperava mais do Axis!

Overall everything was fine. The heated pool is available to guests, which is great for a quick refresh or a bit of exercise after a day of sightseeing. The small indoor parking is free but limited; on the street there’s covered parking and you can also park in front without issues. It’s 3 km downhill to Ponte de Lima, a very charming town with a typical Portuguese market on the banks of the Lima River. There are many places to visit within about 30 km, and a taxi to climb costs €5. The breakfasts are all‑inclusive. The room is very spacious, with a mini‑fridge and a kettle for infusions, plus a bottle of water always there. The espresso machine is available, and if you want an espresso they’ll give it to you when you ask the waitresses. Upon arrival you’re given a glass of lemon or orange water and some candies every day. It’s surrounded by a huge golf course. All the staff are very pleasant, but we wanted to highlight Sara at reception for her friendliness and professionalism; we let her know in person and were very grateful. The shower leaked a little when you shower, there’s no outlet in the bathroom for shaving, so you have to bring a battery-powered razor.

The place was quiet, the view was great, the staff listened well, parking was convenient, breakfast was good, and the terrace was nice, but there was no small coffee machine in the room.
