Location was fine, but the bathrooms left a lot to wish for: no soap at the sink, shower gel was barely enough for a small child, and the bathrooms looked like a hospital. £70 a night feels overpriced, especially with no breakfast options and a damp, drain smell. I’d only stay again if it was absolutely necessary.

We could come and go whenever we wanted, with no restrictions. The pub staff were very friendly when we arrived. The only downside was that a net curtain would have helped with privacy, and the TV remote didn’t work even after the staff added more batteries—minor issues overall.

I found the place basic but acceptable, which matches the price we paid, so it was decent value. The only hiccup was that I had no idea where to leave the key after we checked out early.

The value was excellent, and the landlords were genuinely kind and welcoming. The only downside was the lack of hand soap in the toilet.
