The location is great and the room is comfortable. The evening meal was nice, service was good, and the stay was reasonable. However, the hot tap on the bath was scaldingly hot and burned my leg. Breakfast was average; the black pudding was cold/uncooked and the whole spread wasn’t very warm. Some bedroom areas need a bit of TLC— the skylight was taped shut, wallpaper was damp and peeling, etc.

The restaurant and staff were excellent. The toilet had a putrid damp smell, and the bathroom ceiling was covered in black mould marks. The room really needs a refresh with some paint to freshen it up.

The spot’s great, rooms look nice, but checking in was a hassle and the key pads were tricky to operate; no staff were around overnight and the back door was left open late at night. We missed breakfast and it was delayed; the staff even removed cereal, juice and other items before we finished. The sink in the room was blocked.
