The location is good. The monks have sticks in a certain part of the body.

Because I had stayed at several shukubo during my pilgrimage on the Shikoku 88‑temple circuit, I could compare this place to those. The shukubo at Koyasan were surprisingly luxurious and expensive, so this shukubo, which kept the essentials clean and tidy while offering a very high level of hospitality, left a very good impression.

They welcomed me perfectly even though I arrived a little later than the check‑in time they requested. I was also able to leave my luggage after check‑out to go sightseeing.

It was fairly clean and in a central location. The staff interaction was minimal. The room was very basic, with two mattresses on the floor and a small table. There were no tea or coffee facilities, and check‑out was at 9 am.
