It’s a comfortable place to stay and feels like a good deal, though I would have appreciated a shelf behind the washbasin.

The owner is very friendly and the other guests are great; downstairs is the Taisho bath, perfect for travelers who want to experience different cultures. Since there’s no elevator on the second floor, it’s not suitable for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage, and those who prefer larger rooms will find it lacking. Overall, it’s a unique and unforgettable experience.

The reception was very good and the built‑in facilities were convenient, but there was no mat under the futon, so it was hard and the sleeping comfort was poor.
