Hotel McPietroasa

The hotel was great; we had a birthday anniversary planned and booked multiple rooms for the occasion. It sits nicely in the middle of the forest, letting you enjoy nature, peace, and quiet. The rooms are nicely renovated, with new furniture and a modern design. We also had tasty breakfast with lots of choice and variety. Overall a great experience with our anniversary event, though prices at the restaurant are a bit high compared to regional averages.

“Would have been perfect, but an 80s party ruined it!”

Everything was good, but we were assigned a room above the restaurant/party area and heard drums until 3 am. The law limits noise to 12–1 am, so the staff should have warned us about the party or offered a room further away, even if it wasn’t what we requested—those rooms should stay with the party people!

The room was very clean, everything worked, the staff were very kind, and the booking was resolved quickly; breakfast was abundant, and one employee stayed on hand to make pancakes right there. It would be nice if they also made omelettes or sunny‑side‑up eggs—just another burner would do. The exposed items were already cold and stale. On the balcony there was no chair or table. The path from the restaurant to the bungalows should be marked at night, at least with solar lights. The bungalows lack privacy—they’re next to the tennis court, a road, and have no curtains, blinds, or anything to block the view inside. The food needs to be more refined, higher quality in taste and presentation, especially since the prices are medium to high.
