Overall the rooms and ambience were good, but we booked side‑by‑side rooms and didn’t receive the same type, which was disappointing given the 5‑star rates.

It’s a great hotel; my room was comfortable, large, and had a balcony, though it didn’t overlook the river. The staff are great, but their English is poor and only a few speak good English. The location, nice staff, comfortable beds, and nice food were all positives.

Absolutely recommend it; the welcome ritual, the incredibly kind staff, the excellent food, and the private evening Ganga Aarti were all part of the package, which also included yoga lessons, henna tattoo, and more, all within the price. No negatives.
