“It was alright but it did not serve my purpose: to be able to walk to the Rajamangala Stadium.”

The hotel sits right beside Samitivej Hospital, where there’s a market outside with stalls selling knick‑knacks, and inside you’ll find pharmacies, coffee shops, snack shops, and more. The 9 Residence Hotel was advertised as a 15‑minute walk from Rajamangala Stadium, but it actually took me about 30 minutes and the route was confusing; I ended up taking a motorbike for 100 Baht, which got me there in roughly 10 minutes. Breakfast consisted of a large latte, toast with omelette, and yoghurt – that was all – I probably should have gone to the Samitivej Hospital next door instead. The toiletries provided were just shower caps, toothpaste, a toothbrush, and bottled handwash, shampoo, and shower gel.

When I checked out, I realized we’d left a shirt in the room, and they brought it back to us. We asked for two separate beds, and although we only wanted two blankets, they tried to accommodate our request. The breakfast buffet we booked offered only one dish, plus some fruit; there was no juice or water. The coffee we ordered was delivered later, but the wrong drink was served, and no staff member was available to address the mistake. The single dish was good. The bathroom door was a bit broken, making it hard to close, and the shampoo was empty.

“If they fix the TV problem and made it easier for customers to use I would 100% stay there again.”

The room was very clean and looked brand new. The TV was difficult to tune to a channel, and I couldn’t find any English programming.
