“Meets expectations for the price , decent stay.”

The facilities were decent, the location was accessible, parking was available, the room was hygienic, and overall the hostel was good. The coffee machine was there but there were no supplies (milk powder, sugar, sweetener—nothing apart from the machine), barely any plates to eat, or spoons or forks. The shared bathroom was decent but there was no hot water, the shower pressure was slow, and it didn’t feel like we took a bath.

“Affordable great stay”

The host was friendly, the value for money was great, and the place was clean with on‑site parking. It’s a solid base for Yosemite, with parking around the back, located in Groveland which offers several spots for food, amenities, and nearby gas stations. It’s only about 35 minutes to the Big Oak Flat entrance, and you’ll have to drive further to get deeper into the park, so keep that in mind before heading out and back. No complaints really; the price I paid for the hostel dorm bed was a fraction of what other accommodation was during August.

“Beautiful old world charm house nestled next to the road with a cozy atmosphere”

I loved the staff member who helped us— he had a great sense of humor and the hostel felt more like visiting my grandma’s than staying in a place with other strangers. It was incredibly comfortable with many unique vintage elements! Coffee was available to brew as well!
