The rooms were nicely appointed, had great views, and the staff were friendly, but the twin beds were narrow and uncomfortable. I stayed in a single room one night and the double bed was fine, but sharing a room for two nights on a very narrow bed was not restful; the mattress was about 6‑8 inches narrower than a standard twin, so it would be fine for kids but not for adults.

Top location, great atmosphere in a converted monastery. Superb view from the balcony and the hotel terrace. Very friendly staff. Beautiful old town! Once we were attacked by mosquitoes in the room at night… Anti‑buzz helped!

I stayed at this resort for the San Francesco weekend and was absolutely enchanted by the property, a striking example of a past that still feels imposing through the resort walls and the inner cloister. Even the rooms, while modern, are decorated with details that tell a magical blend of ancient and contemporary, completed by the view of San Francesco beach. I didn’t like being woken up abruptly. Although checkout was due by 11.00, the cleaning staff tried to open my room door at 8.00 while my boyfriend and I were still sleeping. Half an hour later they tried again with the keys, and luckily they knocked, abruptly interrupting our rest. There was clearly a communication error between them (it happened twice), and from a place like this I expected more care.

This is a historic building turned hotel. The former monk cells are now guest rooms. The whole building is a bit winding, the corridors are partly dark and not wheelchair‑friendly because of intermediate steps. The house, rooms and bathrooms are adapted to the historic building. We liked it, some may find it antiquated. The highlight was the roof terrace, where you could have breakfast in the morning and a tasty, stylish dinner in the evening. In the morning you can ask about the daily menus (“Catch of the day”), choose between two pasta starters and two main courses, and pre‑order for the evening. Sunset dinner was a romantic dream. The breakfast buffet was very stylish and tasty, focused on sweets. The staff were very nice. Overall an unforgettable highlight of our holiday. The lighting in the corridors could be improved. The hotel is not suitable for wheelchair users.
