We were greeted warmly and felt comfortable right away. Breakfast was very varied and complete. We also enjoyed the pleasant conversations with the host. The location by the sea is great, and the property itself has a large, well‑maintained pool. Water dispensers with drinking‑water quality save plastic waste. For longer stays, there are special offers, but you have to contact the host directly. A small note: the rooms right by the pool unfortunately have no Wi‑Fi reception; you have to leave the room and go closer to the reception to get it. In the off‑season (rainy season), there’s a huge trash problem on the beach, which is a general issue in Sri Lanka and not necessarily related to the accommodation.

“Ein Urlaub zum Abschalten und Wohlfühlen”

Monika, the host, was especially remarkable. She speaks fluent German, is well‑educated, very friendly, warm, and caring. The beautiful, spacious garden area features a clean, stunning, and large pool with direct beach access, and it’s very quiet both day and night. What I didn’t like, though, isn’t directly related to the accommodation: the street lighting is shockingly bright and disturbing when you’re outside.

“wonderful place”

We stayed in a villa right on the oceanfront for two weeks on the third floor, with a top‑floor terrace that was exclusively ours and a private terrace around our room; the spacious room featured a living area with a kitchen (fridge and kettle) and a bedroom with a beautiful view from the windows, plus a shower with hot water; daily breakfast included fresh fruit; the grounds were well maintained with a large swimming pool, sun loungers under shaded trees, many beautiful plants, peacocks, and a funny iguana near the pool; the ocean offered a great, easy entrance into the water, and plenty of cafes and restaurants were nearby; we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Great facilities, spotless, lovely garden and pool, and a nice beach just a short walk away. The owner is friendly and attentive. The immediate surroundings, however, lack any restaurants or shopping options.

The accommodation was very pleasant and cozy, but climbing with heavy luggage was somewhat troublesome.
