Very close to the beach, great location, the room was clean, no road noise, the host didn’t mind using the air‑conditioner, the host was super responsible and serious, always thinking about the safety of my bike and my belongings, a very good host. Staying here feels safer than elsewhere; if I come to Sri Lanka again, I’ll definitely stay here again.

This place doesn’t deserve even one star! The room was small, dark, and had cockroaches at night, possibly in the bed or among the staff. I found cockroaches many times at night. The room had no toilet paper or cleaning. The man who cooked breakfast kept telling me the owner didn’t pay him a salary and he worked without pay. On the last day I returned around 10 pm and the common door was closed while drunk people were outside in front of the common door; the owner and the cook did nothing, just went to their rooms and slept. NO SAFETY! The room was dirty, and there were many random local men at the villa sometimes drinking alcohol on the first floor where the guest rooms are. The owner invited his family or friends to stay, and at night there was screaming and drunk people – they were not guests, I guess it was his family or friends. So I write all this because the place is HORRIBLE and didn’t treat me for the money I paid; I felt like I was staying for free. I wanted to move to another place when I realized it was a BIG mistake to choose this place, but the owner refused to give me a refund and said he had already put the money in his bank. I tried to ask him politely that I couldn’t stay because of all this, but he didn’t care. SELFISH! Also when I booked the room I only expected Wi‑Fi and a quiet place at night – the bare minimum I asked for, and the owner couldn’t even provide that. I don’t like that the owner often invites men and drinks in the evening or night; it looks like a cheap hostel. There is no supermarket or pharmacy nearby; they close very early and everything near you is more than a 10‑minute walk. TERRIBLE! The most horrible place in my life! Be careful! The place is just horrible. The property only accepts cash, and when I arrived I wanted to pay the owner in cash and I trusted him because I was tired from the airport and didn’t check the money well; he stole an additional $147 on my first day and I was very sad because I trusted him. The money was not a problem for me, I told him just the place where people disrespect you and lie to you I don’t want to stay. I booked a place to stay for a long time and just wanted to be happy and have my holidays. The first day after I told him please let’s be honest and refund my money, but he said it wasn’t his, so he didn’t refund me. The next day and all my trip was horrible. The owner decided to do construction when I was staying there. From 8 00 am in the morning he started construction very early; it was very selfish. I told him I couldn’t sleep when construction started and he still continued. All my holidays were ruined. The construction was during all my days staying at this place. I told the owner I didn’t sleep 3 days since construction started; he totally didn’t care. The owner is very selfish, he only thinks about himself. The location of this place is horrible! Yes it’s close to the beach but the area is horrible! Smell, dirty, not safe, more local place and at night it’s very dark, the owner closes the common door at 9‑10 pm so you have to open it yourself, NO SECURITY. Wi‑Fi is very low; when I told the owner I paid for the room and I need Wi‑Fi he said you can go and pay for internet very selfish! Then he said he has only 40 G for everyone. VERY VERY VERY SELFISH! Most of the time Wi‑Fi doesn’t work and when you come back home you can’t even have Wi‑Fi! TERRIBLE PLACE! All my stay I had to get the owner for Wi‑Fi and why I paid for the room I need to pay extra Wi‑Fi?? So be careful owner always does construction early morning and he doesn’t care if you are sleeping or not all the time he wants to renovate the place.

The spot is great, the sea’s a bonus. The standard rooms are fine, nothing to complain about.
