“Un lugar muy acogedor y especial”

The place is relatively close to Pacchanta for the 7‑lake trek of Ausangate. The family running it was charming and attentive, and the breakfast was very complete. The beds were very comfortable. It’s a very special spot on the Andean high plateau between Tinke and Pacchanta with views of Nevado Ausangate. The bathroom and shower are shared, but that’s expected given the location.

A very serious and deserving family, always listening. The lodge is very comfortable, with clean and cozy beds, spotless bathrooms, hot water, and clean toilets. The kitchen is very good. Cultural activities include discovering Quechua life and traditions, and alpaca breeding. Most importantly, there’s a taxi service to take you up to Upis or Pachanta for hiking on the Ausangate without staying in the icy lodges at 4400 m and risking altitude sickness. It’s a perfect place to acclimatize coming from Cusco, staying at 4100 m with good comfort compared to Upis, and there’s a clinic at Tinki and Ocongate. Don’t miss the Sunday market in the towns where all the mountain people gather – extraordinary.

A charming spot and William is very friendly and kind. The road to the lodge is unpaved.

“Maravillo lugar”

It’s a spectacular place at the foot of Nevado Ausangate, 4100 m high, with wonderful owners, delicious food prepared with care. The room is simple with a perfectly clean shared bathroom, and the vibe is incredible. A great spot for bike packers and trekking enthusiasts.
