Being close to the seafront and White Rock Theatre was convenient, but I barely slept because the floorboards in the room above creaked and people kept walking, dropping things, and making noise well past midnight and again from 5.30 am; meanwhile, outside there were loud cars stopping at traffic lights with music blaring—traffic noise itself didn’t bother us, but we won’t stay again.

The location was good, but the on‑site Bistro was closed for a holiday; I only learned about that just before arriving after contacting the hotel.

The spot suited our needs and the room was clean and comfortable, though a bit hot; it could use a refresh—only one window could open, the blinds were faulty, and the wooden floors made for a noisy environment.
