The proximity to Giverny activities was great. The air conditioning and lack of a TV, plus no mini‑fridge, were disappointing.

La Dime de Giverny, a 13th‑century house in Giverny, sits 500 m from Monet’s house amid a 1‑hectare garden. Each elegant room offers garden views, a seating area, desk, and ensuite with free toiletries. Daily breakfast (08:30‑09:30) is served in a charming dining room. The property features free Wi‑Fi, a shared lounge, meeting rooms, and a kitchenette. Nearby cycling, horse riding, and hiking enhance the experience.

The location is ideal for the Monet gardens, just a 5‑minute walk, and it’s quite pretty with plenty of old beams, a lovely shower, nice gardens, and a decent breakfast but no hot food. I understand the price reflects the location, and I expected to pay a lot, but at that price I did not expect subpar Wi‑Fi, curtains on only a couple of windows while the rest had shutters that require you to be over 6 feet tall with long arms, a shower without a door that floods the bathroom, no restaurant, badly torn sheets, and a 5 pm check‑in.

The place is pleasant, well‑located, and tastefully renovated; the breakfast is good. The hosts are barely friendly, the reception feels cold, the bedding is poor, housekeeping is not thorough, the breakfast room is barely clean, and the tables are tiny.

The peace and beauty are wonderful, but the breakfast and reception leave something to be desired.

The setting is gorgeous and it’s very close to the Monet Gardens; nothing to complain about.
