Mattresses were good, but the pillows were awful and the single glazing let a lot of street noise through, especially from the crossing signals at night. The bathroom was very disappointing: the shower was tiny, there was no place to put toiletries because the glass shelf was on a lean and things slid off, and the fridge door was broken so it wasn’t cold.

The beds were very comfortable and the location was great, close to restaurants and other amenities. However, there was very little soundproofing between the room and the bathroom.

Perfect location, soaking up Wellington’s culture right from the front door. Close to all you could want to visit, Cuba St, Lambdon Quay, TSB arena, Te Papa, all within a short distance. Spoilt for choice as to shopping, art viewing, coffee and eating. Will definitely be back
