“A bright and comfortable hotel with welcoming common areas and good beds, though the cleanliness in some bathroom areas”

The entrance area is bright, clean, and welcoming, and the beds were comfortable. Overall, the place has a pleasant atmosphere. I do think the cleanliness could be improved in some areas, especially in the bathroom. I noticed marks on the glass, corners that could have been cleaned more thoroughly, and unfortunately I also saw a cockroach and some small flies. It seemed that general cleaning was being done, but a little more attention to detail would make a big difference.

Everything for daily life was excellent—shopping, dining, and the night market were all within easy reach, and the room was clean, bright, and comfortable. The only drawback was that getting in and out of the parking lot was a bit inconvenient.

The breakfast buffet with a few à‑la‑carte options was tasty and there’s a parking lot on site, plus plenty of eateries nearby and the night market is within walking distance. The name “Wen Travel” only fits the lobby; once you step into the elevator and your floor you feel like you’re in a different, run‑down hotel, even the telephone still bears the old hotel’s name, whereas a “sticker hotel” would at least have updated its signs. At check‑in the front‑desk supervisor was slow, juggling training a new hire while I waited, as if my time was just a lesson for them—training could have been done with a mock guest instead of holding me up.

There’s an underground garage behind the hotel (height limit two metres) but the driveway is narrow and the slope is steep, so you need a bit of skill to get in; breakfast is served at the Italian restaurant next door and the surrounding downtown area makes dining and drinking very convenient. When I arrived I found cockroaches and trash on the floor, reported it and was immediately moved from a king‑size bed to three single beds (what the heck, I’m solo), and when I asked the desk to just clean the room instead of changing it they said housekeeping had already left, so the receptionist grabbed a broom and awkwardly cleaned the room herself; the air‑conditioner was unbearably cold no matter how I adjusted it, so I turned it off to sleep, and the next night the same rubbish was still on the floor, never properly cleared.
