I found the place to be a solid bargain, especially for a private room with a private bathroom in a popular spot like Da Lat. The area is quiet and the café right across the street is fantastic. The bed is really comfy and unusually large for Vietnam. Shops, restaurants and the famous Crazy House are all within walking distance. The accommodation sits above a vegan restaurant that serves a nice pancake for breakfast, and there’s a tarmac outside the building where you can park your motorbike. Nothing to complain about at this price point.

The room was clean, well‑equipped and reasonably priced, but sharing a dorm with Chinese guests turned out to be noisy and unhygienic; they talked loudly and kept the common area busy for almost two hours during the midday break, so they’re not suitable for a mixed‑group dorm and the host should rethink accepting Chinese guests in that setting.

The location, room size, staff, and owners are all lovely. It’s peaceful at night, just off the main road, and you can walk easily into town and enjoy a pleasant stroll to the lake. Being surrounded by everyday Vietnamese life is a bonus. There’s a vegan restaurant on the ground floor, a common room on the top floor for food and work, and an extra shower. It’s a very relaxed place to unwind. Free water and a kettle are available in the rooms and the common area. The people running it are just as important as the place itself—very helpful and flexible. The only suggestion is that a fridge in each room would be nice, though the owners allow use of the kitchen fridge. When I return to Da Lat, I’ll definitely stay again for a while.

The hostel was surprisingly quiet and fairly clean, though you have to accept that it sits a bit outside the center and that sharing one toilet and shower among eight guests in a room feels cramped, even with the second bathroom on the upper floor.
