The décor feels like a throwback and is charming. Apart from the lack of nearby attractions, it was fine, which you already know when you book.

We didn’t get breakfast, but the room came with a coffee machine, microwave, a guest fridge, plus dishes and cutlery for cooking our own meals; the space was very large, spotless and well‑equipped, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staircase to the second floor is a bit winding, which can be tricky for older guests or those with mobility issues, and you can hear the highway from the front rooms, though it isn’t too loud because the building sits behind the parking lot.
