The price was good, but the owner wouldn't give me a TM30 receipt for my VISA extension and accused me of causing trouble by asking; the water pump failed multiple times so there was no running water, and the cleaning staff stopped tidying the dorm room toward the end of my stay.

The hostel is tidy, with comfortable beds and free towels and blankets. The toilets and showers are clean and there’s enough space for the number of guests. However, it gets pretty hot during the day because the air‑con turns on at 10 am, and the communal area feels very cramped.

The location is good, but the dorm feels like an army barracks with one huge room for over 20 people, which is a bit off-putting.

Excellent: reception, location, physical space, price, and AC cooling power. 1. The water temperature in the shower is somewhere between room temperature (i.e., neither hot nor cold) and lukewarm. If you like a hot shower, this is not the shower for you. 2. With 12 beds in the room, there is good potential for chatter while you are trying to fall asleep—if you plan to sleep early. I always travel with eye mask and ear plugs so I was not significantly affected. 3. The blankets provided are sized perfectly for children—not adults. If you have a large frame, you'll need to adjust it perfectly and not move to get full coverage. The room is cold with the AC which is ideal for sleeping assuming you are properly covered. A hostel sleeping bag is recommended. Despite these points, my overall experience was good and I extended my stay

I slept on a top bunk without curtains, right next to the next bed, feeling like I was sharing a bed with a stranger, and the room smelled like sewage—absolutely disgusting.
