The place had a great spot, yet even after asking to be moved to the newer part of the hotel, we ended up in the old dungeon section downstairs. Natural light was scarce, with the lone window overlooking drain pipes, gutters, and walls. The bathroom was tiny and cramped, and the shower head pointed to the side wall unless you held it yourself.

I was surprised to receive a free upgrade. The one‑bedroom apartment was tidy, with a proper bath and a real fridge.

The hotel was very close to the venues I was attending and easy to find. The rooms were clean, which was good. I didn’t like that parking was scarce; I had to park my car elsewhere.
