The staff were incredibly kind, but it was a shame the restaurant was closed on Monday; otherwise we would have loved to dine there. A tip for those walking the Marskramerpad: treat yourself at De Watergeus.

This small to medium‑sized modern hotel sits on its own grounds in a quiet village; we received a warm welcome, and our room was huge with a kitchen area, sitting area, and a massive bed. The place was spotless, and everything functioned perfectly. The next‑day breakfast was superb, served in a large dining room, and the staff were consistently pleasant during check‑in, check‑out, and at the dining area. The evening meal was outstanding from start to finish, with an excellent wine selection—a real plus for the business. The rear grounds are beautifully maintained, bordered by a lake with stunning views, a fantastic bonus that makes the visit worthwhile. The experience met all my expectations.

The spot right on the water is amazing, and the breakfast is plenty and nicely presented.

After a day of boating from Amsterdam, this place was a solid pick with great views, a terrace, and a restaurant; the staff were the friendliest I’ve seen in a while, and the rooms are very spacious, basic but good. Breakfast was excellent, so I’ll book again because the area is great for boating and WaterGeus is a top choice. The bathroom feels a bit basic.
