The castle was very picturesque, right in the middle of nature, and very eco‑friendly. The couple put a lot of time and effort into restoring it. The bed was huge. The breakfast was sober but tasty with yogurt and fresh fruit; a croissant or chocolate cookie on request, and a boiled egg. Cats were roaming the common areas, which was unpleasant because my wife is allergic to cat hair, so that lowered the hygiene rating. The room itself was fine. Because the couple invested so much in the restoration, we were disappointed that many details were neglected, leaving dust on cabinets and fixtures, cobwebs, plaster on ceilings and walls. The garden and pool were fine ecologically, but a bit more maintenance would have been nice for such a beautiful garden.

The welcome was friendly, the room and bathroom were spacious, and the breakfast was perfect and tailored to our preferences. The stairs were difficult for someone over 80.

I stayed in a peaceful farmhouse in the French countryside that had everything you could need, including a lovely pool that was perfect for the hot summer days, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive.

The place, its rooms, the garden – everything felt “extremely charming,” creating a wonderfully pleasant vibe that made me feel like I was in a historic family home, and the hosts were very caring and attentive; it’s a great address and I hope to return.
