The rooms were beautiful with a magnificent view, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, though the place was a bit out of the way and there were many pebbles at low tide.

The room offered great views, and I received a complimentary upgrade to a beach bungalow; the bathroom, shower area, and wardrobe were spacious, and walking straight out from the bungalow onto the beach in either direction was easy, making it simple to reach a long‑tail boat to the Hong Islands and Ko Yao Noi, while a sunset walk along the beach was fabulous. A small on‑site restaurant served a fine meal, and drinks and fresh coconut juice were available at the bar area. However, the area felt too isolated, especially if you want a bit of independence from the resort; reaching the nearest 7‑Eleven required walking up a hill and a fair distance, so you’d need a tuk‑tuk, Grab taxi, or Grab delivery for essentials—plan a stop before arriving. The resort sits off a road that has a steep jungle area directly behind one side and descends down the hill on the other side, away from the more developed part of the general Tubkaek beach area. The hotel telephone, Netflix, and Prime were non‑functional on the first night, and the water supply was very limited, but this was resolved the following morning and everything worked fine thereafter.

The beach at Tab Kaek is probably the best in Krabi, and the bungalows at Home Resort sit just a few meters from the sand. Everyone on the staff is super friendly, the bungalows are incredibly comfortable, the seafood at the on‑site restaurant is delicious, and the breakfast is solid; overall it offers great value. I’d definitely return if I’m looking for a place to unwind and chill, though you’ll need a rental car to get around.
