Clean rooms, helpful staff. The barman was lovely, the receptionist very efficient. I enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfy, and I’ll stay again.
“volgende keer in deze regio op zoek naar een ander hotel.”
The place has a nice, relaxed vibe and feels easy‑going, very practical location, but the rooms aren’t soundproof – I could clearly hear the next room’s conversation. At midnight I turned the TV on for an hour, and at 6:30 am the rhythmic workout noises rattled the wall, so I switched the TV back on just to avoid hearing the climax.
“Leuke authentiek hotel”
It’s an old hotel with no lift, but that wasn’t a big problem; the room was fine, the food was good and after dinner they gave us plenty of enthusiastic tips for things to see in Ireland. We were a bit startled to learn there was a disco in the bar on Saturday until 02:30 am, but we didn’t need the earplugs they offered to dampen the noise.
Great spot, a short stroll to the town centre, and the breakfast was tasty. The downside was staying on a Saturday night, which made the bar a bit noisy.
The bed felt more modern. The location was a drawback.
